Some physical, some work-related, some mental. I have to also think about how I'm going to achieve these things - I know me and just writing 'loosing weight' won't help - I have to give myself some goals and guidelines otherwise I'll be rubbish!
1. To loose some weight. Four stone to be precise.
Steve has already said that one of his resolutions is to take Thomas swimming each week so I can go to the gym while they are working out in the pool. We're going to aim to do this each Saturday morning. So that leaves two sessions to find in the week. Body Pump used to be my favourite class ever so I'd like to start that again, maybe on a weekday evening and one weekday session when Thomas can go in the creche. I'll get this in the diary so it's all planned in.
2. To always have a knitting project on the go.
I love knitting and I find it so relaxing when I'm not picking up dropped stitches (or rather getting mum to do them). I've found the loveliest poncho I would like to knit in Berroco Suede see the pattern here http://www.berroco.com/exclusives/linda_poncho/linda_poncho.html
I hope I won't look like Wild West G but it does look yummy. I like ponchos. I'm not really a coat person but I'd love to have a nice warm poncho to throw on when taking Mr T out on an adventure. Only trouble is the yarn is only available from the States so it means ordering it all online and paying lots for delivery - at £50 a project is becomes and expensive hobby!
3. To recruit four new people every month into my Body Shop Team.
To do this I need to interview three people every week. To get three interviews I need to speak to at least 30 people each week.
I do like doing interviews at the weekends as Steve is around to look after the T-man and I of course love sitting in Starbucks whenever possible. So I shall aim to book up my interviews for a Wednesday afternoons (when Steve is working from home) and Saturdays. Given that interviews have a habit of cancelling if booked outside of 48 hours, I'm going to vow to do my calls on a Monday and Thursday each week. Then I don't have to feel guilty on the other days when I'm not doing calls!
4. To become a Body Shop Executive Manager by the end of 2008.
This is two jumps up on the career plan so it's not going to be very easy but is possible. If point three can be achieved then the managers should roll in.
5. Squeeze Thomas' bum-bum more - maybe a few times a day.
6. To get more organised.
Each evening I'm going to try to get my to-do list done for the next day.
Figure out what Thomas is going to have for his lunch and dinner.
Work out what can be done in the morning and what for the afternoon.
When can I fit my calls in around this - maybe do some in the car with my lovely new Parrot Handsfree...oooh...
I don't mean that the following day has to be planned in meticulous detail to an anal degree but it might save me a lot of stress and running around.
This is it! Now I have them written down, I have them to refer to and they are more real now everyone can see them!
